Matthew 28:19-20 – “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Hi, I’m Dave Gibson, pastor of Missions and Evangelism at Grace Church. Also the US Director for the GO Movement. I want to read a portion of scripture of very familiar scripture, to all of us as followers of Jesus in Matthew 28. Jesus gave his marching orders for the church. He said, “all authority has been given to me in heaven on earth, go there for, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them, teaching them to obey. And He says, lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” Jesus was serious about that. It wasn’t His great suggestion. In some places has become the great omission in churches, which is really unfortunate. Statistics show that a lot of people don’t even know what the Great Commission is, but I believe God is raising up a remnant. There are millions of believers that are going to be gathering together this month of May.
And you’re going to be one of them. You’re going to be a part of this movement who are going to engage people in our spheres of influence with a prayer-care-share lifestyle. We pray for people. We care for them, love them with the love of Jesus. Then we lovingly and appropriately share the good news of Jesus Christ. It’s exciting! Millions are joining in. We’re glad you’re a part of this Great Commission remnant – this army of Gospel warriors that are bringing the Gospel across our nation and all around the world. Remember, everyone can reach someone, and together we can reach the world.
Let’s pray together. Lord, I thank you that you are the Lord of the harvest. And I thank you that you gave us very, very clear marching orders for the church to go into all the world and preach that good news of the Gospel and make disciples of all nations and to baptize people, and then to teach them, disciple them, to obey all that you commanded. And you said lo, you’ll be with us always, even to the end of the age, Lord of the harvest raised up this a massive group of people in the month of May. I pray that there’ll be just a millions of people who are exposed to the Gospel and come into a wonderful discovery of new life in Jesus Christ. We pray this all in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen. Let’s go!
