Matthew 5:16 – “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
Hi, my name is Korey Dean. I’m the founder and executive director of the Man Up Club. I’d like for you to go with me to a passage of scripture, that’s found in the book of Matthew chapter five, verse 16. It says, “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father, which is in Heaven.” This just simply means that you should be doing good works. And when people see you doing good works, it should glorify God. That everything that we do should point to Him. When they look at the work that we’re doing, people we’re blessing, resources that we have, that it should all go towards Christ. There is a light in us that we don’t get to keep for ourselves, but that it should always point to Christ.
Let us pray. So father, we thank you right now for those who are working in your vineyard. We pray God, that we don’t keep the light hidden for ourselves to get the glory, but that all of the glory, no matter what we do, it’s done for you, that all arrows point to Christ, that we can call people to your kingdom. Father I ask right now for those who are working in your vinyard, that you would allow them to be humble, and that they would give all glory and honor to you in Jesus name, I pray, Amen. Let’s Go.
