Isaiah 40:29 – “God gives strength to the weary. He increases the power of the weak.”

Hey, what’s up everybody. My name is Nick Hall from Pulse in Minneapolis, Minnesota. And I’m excited to share a brief word today about the passage in Isaiah 40 verse 29. It tells us that “God gives strength to the weary. He increases the power of the weak.” Now I want to encourage you today that no matter what you’re going through, no matter what you’re facing, that God welcomes you as you are.

I’m reminded when I read this passage from the prophet, Isaiah of Jesus’s invitation, when he says, come to me, you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest right before this verse in Isaiah, the prophet reminds us that God is not weary. He’s not afraid. And I want to tell you today that he’s not intimidated by whatever you’re facing. So the challenge for you and me today, and by the way, this is GO day, is that we would find our hope and our assurance from Jesus, that we would know that he gives us the power we need, the strength we need.

And he is the one who calls us. And he is faithful. As Jesus says, in acts one eight, you will receive power. When the holy spirit comes upon you and you will be my witnesses. So while you may feel weary or overwhelmed today, God is one prayer away. Just saying, God, I need your help. Would you give me power? Would you send me to people who need to hear about Jesus? The Holy Spirit is in you. God is on your side. Let’s go and tell the world about Jesus. I wanna encourage you to find out more at go21.us.
